JEWISH COMMUNITY ORGANIZES 2nd ANNUAL Harmony initiative ("Hi") TOY DRIVE

Jewish community organizations and agencies join with local elected officials, including City Council Finance Committee Chairman David I. Weprin, to kick off its Harmony initiative Holiday Toy Drive," Sunday, October 12, 2008, at 11:15 a.m. at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, 271-11 76th Ave., New Hyde Park, announced Chairman Corey Bearak and President Jack Friedman of the Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council (NEQJCC), which organized the program. Samuel Field Y, Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty, also sponsor the month long drive which runs through November 21. �We encourage donations of unwrapped, new (original containers) toys,� stated Gail Eisenberg, Executive Director of the NEQJCC, the largest regional Jewish community council in the Greater New York area.
