NEQJCC FORUM ON SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS, DEC. 10 The Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council (NEQJCC) presents a forum, "How to Run for Community School Board" ("Including What a Serving CSB Member Should Be Doing"), Sunday, December 10, 1995, 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., announced President Corey B. Bearak. The program, sponsored with Community Advocates for Public Education, will be held at the Samuel Field YM&YWHA, 58-20 Little Neck Parkway. Co-sponsors include the Queens Jewish Community Council, Eastern Queens Civic Council, United Civic Council of Queens, Mid-Queens Community Council, Samuel Field/ Bay Terrace Y and Queens Women's Political Caucus. "We aim the program to advise not just potential candidates but parents who are interested in enhancing their influence in the outcome of school board elections, said NEQJCC President Bearak who served four years on Community School Board 26. The program will be moderated by Helene Zaro, a former First Vice President of Community School Board 26 and NEQJCC Education Chair and Third Vice President. Mrs. Zaro, who served four terms through 1989 on the District 26 School Board, previously served as a PTA president at elementary, junior high and high school levels. "Child-care will be available with pre-registration by December 1," advised NEQJCC Executive Director Sharon Nadel. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m. and refreshments, including light breakfast will be available at the registration. To register, call Mrs. Nadel at 225-6750 x247.
