The Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council has devoted this year to the issues that impact upon senior citizens. Our successful fall lecture series covered the medical, psychological, legal and financial aspects of aging as well as available community services and the selection of and evaluation of nursing homes. The "Year of the Senior Citizen" was completed Sunday, March 18th, at the Council's Annual Legislative Breakfast held at the Samuel Field YM&YWHA.

Our Guest Speaker was Congressman James H. Scheuer speaking on "Legislative Issues of Concern to Senior Citizens and their families." The breakfast was a huge success with over 180 people in attendance...ample proof that the health and safety of senior citizens is a top priority for our community.
