Corey B. Bearak was elected president of the Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council at the organization's June 17 meeting held at Bellerose Jewish Center in Floral Park. Bearak succeeds Dr. Arnold Honig who served the previous two years.

At the meeting Marcia Federman was re-elected First Vice President and Gladys Rand was elected Second Vice President, Vita Barth was elected Recording Secretary, Al Levy was elected Corresponding Secretary and Anne Kirsch was elected Treasurer.

Mr Bearak, an attorney with experience in state and city government, served the organization as Legislative Chair and, for the prior two years, as Recording Secretary. A member of Community School Board 26, he currently serves as counsel/chief of staff to City Councilman Sheldon S. Leffler.
