The Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council (NEQJCC) 1992 Legislative Breakfast will feature Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown, announced President Corey B. Bearak and Executive Director Anne Lupkin. On Sunday March 29 at 10:00 a.m., at the Samuel Field YM&YWHA, 58-20 Little Neck Parkway in Little Neck, District Attorney Brown will address "The State of the Criminal Justice System in Queens County." The program is free and the public is welcome. " The Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council looks forward to hearing from District Attorney Richard Brown, a distinguished former Appellate Judge who has approached his job with vigor and a special understanding of the need to prosecute quality of life offenses, stated NEQJCC President Bearak. Judge Brown's address follows the NEQJCC's "Crime & Punishment" 1991 Fall Lecture Series. The two part program featured New York City Police Commissioner Lee Brown and New York State Chief Judge Sol Wachtler." "An association of community, education, fraternal and religious organizations, the NEQJCC's area currently extends from Bay Terrace through Queens Village," advised NEQJCC Director Lupkin. "Our activities include neighborhood development, sponsorship of political forums with major public figures, combating anti-Semitism, Jewish cultural events, an annual Health Expo, the welfare of immigrant Jews, open discussions with local rabbis, a Bikur Cholim Society and representing community concerns."
