NORTHEAST QUEENS JEWISH COMMUNITY COUNCIL ANNOUNCES FIRST ANNUAL STUDENT ESSAY CONTEST The Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council invites boys and girls ages five through twelve to enter our new Annual Essay Contest, announced President Jeffrey Gurdus. The topic of this year's essay is "The Rabbi's Sermon You've Always Wanted to Hear." Entries will be judged in two categories: grades five through eights and grades nine through twelve. Entries from students in grades five through eight should be approximately three hundred words. Entries from students in grades nine through twelve should be approximately five hundred words. Essays may be serious or humorous and deal will any topic. Prizes will be awarded to contest winners based on content and originality. The top of each entry must include: full name, address, phone, and grade.

will be honored at the Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council's Annual
Awards & Installation Breakfast in October 2002. |
