The Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty honored several Queens legislators at its 31st Annual Legislative Breakfast.  Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council Chairman Corey Bearak (Temple Sholom), Executive Director Gail Eisenberg and Trustee Ron Shafran (Parker Institute for Health Care & Rehabilitation) attended as "Met Council" recognized Member of Congress Joseph Crowley, Member of the Assembly Catherine Nolan and City Council Member James Gennaro.   City Council Finance Committee Chair David Weprin was among the many public officials who attended to pay tribute to their colleagues and the role of Met Council and Jewish community councils including Northeast Queens.
