NORTHEAST QUEENS JEWISH COMMUNITY
CELEBRATES CHANUKAH 5768
The Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council sponsored five events
during Chanukah, including its annual lighting of the borough's largest
Menorah with the Chabad of Eastern Queens (Dec.
9), a Menorah lighting on
the first night of Chanukah at the Chabad of Northeast Queens in Bay
Terrace (Dec.4), a ceremony at Queens
Borough Hall (Dec. 11), and community-wide parties at the Samuel Field Y (Dec.
2) and with the Chabad of Little Neck (Dec.
9) at Bellerose Jewish Center. As

The December 9 Menorah Lighting and celebration featured City
Councilman David Weprin and James Gennaro, State Senator Frank Padavan, State
Assemblymen
Mark Weprin and Rory Lancman .
Queens Borough President Helen Marshall hosts the upcoming December 11 program
also sponsored by six Jewish organizations including the Northeast Queens
Jewish Community Council., Chabad of the Gardens,
the Flushing Jewish Community Council, the Jackson Heights-Elmhurst
Kehillah, the Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula, and the
Queens Jewish Community Council..
