NEQJCC KICKS OFF Harmony
initiative 5th ANNUAL FALL FOOD DRIVE

The Northeast Queens Jewish Community
Council (NEQJCC), joined by State Senators Frank Padavan and Toby
Stavisky, Assembly Member Mark Weprin and City Council Member Jim Gennaro kicked off the Fifth Annual
"Harmony initiative Fall Food Drive," Sunday, September 13, 2009, at
the Samuel Field Y, 58-20 Little Neck Parkway in Little Neck, announced Chairman Corey Bearak and
NEQJCC President Jack Friedman. NEQJCC organized the
drive which runs through October 23.
The largest regional Jewish community council in the Greater New York area, NEQJCC
sponsors this program with the Samuel Field/Bay Terrace Y, Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, UJA-Federation of New York, Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty and
the following elected officials: Members of Congress Gary Ackerman (office a collection site), Gregory Meeks and Anthony Weiner, Council Members David Weprin, James Gennaro,
Leroy Comrie and Tony Avella, State Senators Frank Padavan and Tony Stavisky, and Assembly Members Ann
Carrozza, Barbara Clark, Rory Lancman, and Mark Weprin.
