N.E.Q. JEWISH COMMUNITY COUNCIL HONORS HADASSAH CURRICULUM WATCH, ARCHIE SPIGNER, SUSIE TANENBAUM; INSTALLS OFFICERS
The
Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council
[NEQJCC] presented three Awards for Outstanding Service, including one to former NYC Council Deputy Majority Leader Archie Spigner, at its Annual Installation and Awards
Reception, Sunday, October 25 at Bellerose Jewish
Center. The program also featured the installation of NEQJCC's
officers
by City Council Finance Committee Chair David Weprin, a two-time NEQJCC
honoree. The other honorees are Hadassah's
Curriculum Watch and Jewish activist Susie
Tanenbaum, who serves as a special Assistant to the Queens Borough President. Hadassah's Past National Vice President Dr. Sandra Alfonsi will present the Rivka
Fox Youth Awards to Dave
Slotnick and Samantha
Lessa. NEQJCC Executive Director Gail Eisenberg thanked
The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation for it generous support for the reception.
